Gaborone Branch

Background and history

The history of the Gaborone branch is basically the same as that of BirdLife Botswana as this was the only branch until the Francistown and Maun branches were started in 1995 and 1999 respectively.

BirdLife Botswana is based in Gaborone and the majority of the committee resides there, with other regional members in Maun, Francistown and Kasane.

The Society is active in arranging walks on the first Sunday of every month, talks on the third Tuesday, and sundry other outings and engagements.   Please refer to the calendar for details.

BirdLife Botswana Shop

BLB operates a shop in Gaborone, which sells a large range of clothing, cards, books and other items.   Members and visitors are urged to visit the shop to find out about membership and up-coming events. This is situated at Shop 18, The Craft Centre, Broadhurst.
